Countdown

Top - River Island / Skirt - Topshop / Bag - Zara / Shoes - Jeffrey Campbell / Watch - Marc Jacobs / Socks - Topshop

I haven't posted as much as I'd like to recently, I've got a bit carried away with Christmas festivities, catching up with family and friends...I do love going out after Christmas, any excuse to try out all my new clothes and make up and this does mean I have plenty of outfit posts to share with you over the next week. This is an outfit I wore for boxing day drinks with the girls. This River Island top makes accessorising ever so easy as it has a chain attached to it, so saves me stressing over which necklace looks best and teamed with my leather skirt and Jeffrey Campbell's makes it such an easy outfit to wear. I can't wait to team this top with my disco pants for a more day time look, so chances are you'll be seeing this top again.

I'm extremely stressed today and have no New Year outfit for tonight, talk about leaving it to the last minute, so I'm going to dash out brave the shops and hope for the best. I want to quickly say thank you so much to all my lovely followers, I can't believe I now have over 500 followers, I think a celebratory giveaway could be in order!

Hope you all have an amazing night and end 2012 in style.

I wanted to share with you a few snippets from Christmas day, including a few of my favourite presents! I was a very lucky girl and got truly spoilt and had an amazing day with my amazing family, I really couldn't of wished for anything more. My Mum out did her self as usual with the perfect presents and the best food I think I've ever eaten...I really did eat myself into a food coma, the idea of more food even now is a struggle. It's only a quick post just to say hope you've all had an amaaaaaazing Christmas. I'm off for some more festive celebrations for the next few days with more family and my lovely boyfriend. Hope you're all making the most of the Christmas holidays and I can't wait to do some proper outfit posts showing off my new goodies.

Dream Outfit #2

Dream Outfit #2

I seem to be ever so slightly obsessed with traipsing the internet lusting over endless amounts of clothes, so I thought I'd share with you another outfit, that if I wasn't a skint student, I would definitely be purchasing...but until I win the lottery a girl can dream.

Just a quick post today, I'm running around like a mad lady trying to sort out final Christmas bits and get all my wrapping done...every year I leave it to the last minute, I'll never learn. But I couldn't be more giddy for Christmas now, I literally think i could explode with excitement. I hope you all have an amaaaaazing Christmas and get spoilt and eat tons of food, I know that's what I'm most excited for.

New Hair

Shirt, Skirt, Bag, Shoes - Topshop / Tights - Marks&Spencers / Necklace - Forever 21

Well I'm dressed head to toe in Topshop today, very unoriginal but this post is more of just a quick one to show you guys my new hair. I wanted to get outside to get some photos in the natural light to show you the colour properly, however, this rain and cold is making it near on impossible. After a massive chat with my hair dressers and deciding I wanted to tone down my blonde and go a more natural colour for the Winter this is the end result, and I couldn't be happier, it's exactly what I wanted.

Sorry this is such a short post, I need to dash out and sort out some last minute Christmas gifts, I've been so unorganised this year but I'm determined to get everything sorted by the end of today to beat the last minute weekend rush! Hope you're all having a great week, and are all prepared for Christmas :)

Merry Me

Top - Blue Rinse / Skirt - Topshop / Shoes - Jeffrey Campbell / Belt - ASOS / Hat - Topshop / Necklace - Forever 21

My love for midi skirts is officially back! I've had this gorgeous Topshop skirt for a while now and had been struggling what to pair it with and when I finally did decide there just never seemed to be the right occasion to wear it. So the minute I was invited out for early Christmas drinks with some friends, I knew exactly what I was going to wear. My only concern when wearing midi skirts, is that at 5ft2 I'm going to end up looking short and stubby and my legs will just disappear, so my trusty Jeffrey Campbell Fredas were the perfect shoe to elongate my un-supermodel like legs. My love for this skirt has grown, and I'm already planning what to team it with next as it's just too pretty to be sat all lonely in my wardrobe.

I'm currently laying in bed feeling sorry for myself a very merry Maddie last night has made it almost impossible to get out of bed...but I finally have my hair appointment this afternoon, so hopefully a bit of pampering will cheer me up. I'm actually rather apprehensive about my hair appointment today, although it's not a drastic change I'm going for a different colour and the thought of walking out either bald or just not happy does terrify me ever so slightly. So wish me luck and I'll be sure to do a post soon showing off my new hair.

Florals

Shirt - Topshop / Skirt - American Apparel / Shoes - H&M / Necklace - H&M / Belt -ASOS / Bag - Topshop

Hey lovelies! I hope you're all well! I'm finally home from uni, no more work just lots of festive celebrations. Today I have a little outfit post from my first evening back home where I went for catch up drinks with my home girls. Florals and pastel colours in the Winter is pretty different from me, I've been living in constant black at the minute, which don't get me wrong I love... but thought it was time to brighten up my outfits. Mixing pastels with more pastels was my favourite during the Summer, so I thought well if it worked then why can't it work now. I felt ridiculously girlie compared to all my gorgeous friends dressed in lace and studs but I definitely embraced it. In fact this outfit has made me want to sport more florals this Winter.

Also, please excuse the shoddy pictures, this is my first outfit post back at my house so I'm still getting used to what works...so lets hope this improves whilst I'm home. Anyway hope you're all as excited for Christmas as I am...I'm off to do some last minute Christmas shopping today, and hoping to treat myself to a few essential party outfits, so I should have lots to show you this week!

Free

Dress - Topshop / Jacket - Topshop / Shoes - Jeffrey Campbell / Belt - Primark / Necklace - Forever 21

Finally all my assignments and uni work are over for this term...and I couldn't be happier! The last two weeks have been absolute hell, spending everyday in the library is, in polite terms, just not fun. But my life is now officially back, I have time to do the things I enjoy...yaaaayy this thought actually makes me want to jump around and scream with happiness!! So after my final assignment was over yesterday, it definitely caused for a celebration, I rounded up the troops and off we went for drinks, and this is what I wore. This dress was my favourite dress of the Summer and I wasn't ready to give up on it just because it's winter. Tights, my leather jacket and of course my favourite Kate Moss lippy helped me and my dress make the transition.

I'm going to spend the next few days relaxing and catching up on my Christmas shopping that I should of started weeks ago, and then I'm finally off home to see the fam and enjoy all the home comforts and most excitingly my Mums home cooking. I literally couldn't be more giddy for it, I feel like a little kid

December Wishlist

Untitled #6

Again apologies for the lack of posts recently, all my assignments are finally over tomorrow...YAY...so normal, regular posts will resume. Christmas is coming and I couldn't be more excited, I keep browsing the internet and lusting over so many goodies that I'm hoping Santa picks up on. So I thought I'd do a quick wishlist post, sharing with you some of my favourite items at the minute. Hope everyone's getting as excited as me for Christmas, I genuinely think I'm more excited than usual this year, partly due to the fact I have't been home since September...so I will definitely be appreciating family time more than ever.

Hope you're all having a great week, I can't wait to post some more this week and finally catch up on all your amazing blogs!x

Festivities

Jumper - Vintage / Discopants - American Apparel / Coat - Topshop / Bag - Topshop / Necklace - Primark

I'm blogging yet again..I moan about how much work I have to do, and then seem to find myself snapping outfit posts, it's turning into my favourite form of procrastination. The one and only good thing about winter is digging out the biggest, warmest jumpers you own..and this is one of my favourites. I love the pattern and colours so much I could actually cry with excitement. I bought this back in the Summer and hadn't really had an opportunity to wear it and now I can already tell I wont want to be taking this off. This jumper speaks, or shouts, for itself really...so all that was needed was my trusty discopants and obviously the necessity this winter..the warmest coat you own!!
Excuse the 'I've been dragged through a bush backwards' hairstyle I have going on at minute, the wind in Lincoln is truly ridiculous...if you leave the house presentable you sure won't come back looking it, and my usual chuck a hat on my head solution just wont suffice, unless I want to be seen chasing round after it round my uni campus.

I'm off to Lincoln's Christmas Market tonight, which I'm far too excited about..any mention of the word Christmas at the minute and I almost burst inside. So I'm hoping to do a post soon from it just to make sure everyone is feeling as festivey as me!
Hope you're all well :)

Russian Princess

Top - ASOS / Leggings - American Apparel / Hat - Topshop / Belt - ASOS / Necklace - Etsy / Shoes - Topshop

I have to admit I feel like I slightly resemble a Russian in this hat, my flatmates keep comparing me to a Russian Princess...I'll take that comparison though. Another simple outfit today as I'm off to the library yet again. The thought of watching Elf on TV this Sunday is more than getting me through this week, you've all got to agree it is the BEST Christmas film around!?!

This top is one of ASOS oversized items, and as the label states it really is oversized...by no means am I a size 6 but I decided to get it in a size smaller, and I'm more than glad I did as its still huuuuuge...almost not wearable without chucking a belt round the middle to keep it attached to my body...so if any of you are thinking about getting any of the oversized items, I'd definitely recommend dropping down a size. As for this gorgeous hat, it'll be staying firmly attached to my head this winter, it's more then definitely protecting my ears from falling off in this cold.

And finally before I run off to do more work, a lot of you girls have been asking about my hair recently...would any of you be interested in a hair care/my hair routine post?

Polka Dot Pants

Top - Topshop / Jeans - Missguided / Belt, Bag and Necklace - Primark / Shoes - Topshop

I definitely haven't posted as much as I would of liked to recently, I've had the craziest week already and it's only Wednesday. All my uni assignments are due in by the end of this week plus I had the scariest speaking exam yesterday, which has meant plenty of long days and long nights in the library..but come next Tuesday and the nightmare will all be over and my constant moaning will stop!

So I thought I'd show you another typical uni day outfit, featuring the most amazing jeans in the world...Missguided you never seem to disappoint. As the prints kinda in your face, I went for a simple tee and simple accessories...I love how one item can just brighten up and excite an outfit. I'm already itching to wear these again with a crisp white shirt and some huuuuuge heels.

Hope you're all good, and have a better week than mine!x

Laidback

Jumper - Urban Outfitters / Blazer - Topshop / Shorts - MissSelfridge / Hat - Topshop / Necklace - Etsy / Tights and Socks - Primark

Wow I really do wear hats too much. So this is just a casual uni outfit to share with you all today. Waking up and having time to put an outfit together before uni = stress, I'm always the girl sneaking into lectures late...I never seem to be able to get ready in time. This is my trusty Urban Outfitters jumper that I go to quite a lot, it looks quite thin but it actually keeps me nice and toasty especially layered with a blazer. This black blazer is an absolute staple in my wardrobe at the minute, I feel it just smartens up my whole outfit. The rips in my tights were unintentional, thats what you get from Primark I suppose...I decided to keep them on all the same, which ended up with me basically revealing my legs to the world and a very cold Maddie :(

Hope you've all had a great weekend x

Wild Horses

Playsuit - Ohmylove / Hat - Topshop / Bag, Belt, Necklace - Primark / Shoes - Jeffrey Campbell

How gorgeous is the print of this playsuit?!? I'm sucker for a cute print and this quirky horse print and gorgeous colour drew me straight in and it was a bargain £10!! I'm resisting from shopping much at the minute, other wise my poor family will end up with no Christmas pressies, so I couldn't believe my luck when I saw the price and ordered it straight away. I just went for some simple black and gold accessories with this outfit as I felt the playsuit was enough on its own. As you can see I had a slight bra mishap, this was changed before I went out however I didn't have enough time to take new photos, so you can all laugh at my awful bra failure.

Hats are becoming my new life saver, I seem to have one glued to my head every day now...probably because it saves me a lot of hair time in the morning and I'm definitely trying to conceal my awful roots at the minute. Sorry this is another quick post, I've been such a hermit the last few weeks with uni work and just generally don't have time for much else... but in less than 2 weeks I will be free for Christmas, so that gives me lots more time to post, YAY :)

Hope you're having a good week :) x

Dream Outfit #1

Untitled #5

Procrastinating from uni work has hit an all time high, I've spent my morning piecing together wishlists and outfits and lusting over far too many clothes. After oogling over embellishments, studs and tartan galore, I settled on this as my favourite current outfit. The gothic trend just captivates me at the minute, the tough yet glamorous look is perfect for any occasion. Motel have an absolutely amazing range of studded, beaded items, and I literally want to own it all and feel like an extra in Twilight. The tartan shorts brighten up this outfit, as all black for me is just that teeny bit too extreme, I need a bit of colour in my life. The gothic trend seems to have a key focus on edgy accessories and these spiked Litas fall into this category beautifully..I really need to get my hands on a pair, hopefully Santas feeling generous.

Also girls if any of you are loving Motel as much as me at the minute, use the code maddiedean14 for 20% off x

Anything could happen

Blazer - River Island / Top - Topshop / Disco Pants - American Apparel / Bag - Lulu Guinness / Fur Stole - H&M / Cuff Bracelet - H&M / Belt - Primark / Boots - Boohoo

I've finally accepted how cold it's getting and decided to dress a bit more weather appropriate..no more bare legs and short sleeves...sob. At least it means my trusty disco pants will be getting a lot of wear, I find they keep me much warmer then any of the leggings I own. So I went for a casual outfit today, I love how the range of neutral tones compliment each other and I especially love the comparison of the texture of the blazer compared with the fur stole.

These photos do really emphasise the whole root thing I have going on here, I haven't dyed my hair in far too long and I'm wanting a change but I'm far too indecisive so I keep putting it off. So any hair suggestions are welcome :)
Hope you are all well :) x
