Midi Mad

Jacket - Topshop / Midi dress - Topshop / Scarf - Primark / Boots - Primark / Bag - Marc B / Bracelet - H&M

Just a quick outfit post today, I'm literally running around like a mad lady this week trying to sort out uni work and trying my hardest not to procrastinate, yet I find myself on here..much more exciting than essays I must say. This is hopefully my last outfit post on my phone as my Mum is visiting this Thursday and I will be reunited with my little camera...YAY :)

So my new fashion love is midi skirts and dresses, I think I'm turning slightly midi mad. I wasn't convinced at first, being such a short ass I didn't know whether the length would make me look stumpy and give me undesirable kankles...but I was sold after falling in love with this beauty in Topshop. I want to invest in some more midi length pieces, I just feel that the style is so wearable for any occasion. I'm really not too good in cold weather, my fingers go numb and my lips turn blue, so for me it was a bit crazy going out baring any leg in these near on arctic conditions, so i chucked on the biggest scarf I could find in an attempt to keep warm without thinking how well it would go, and I ended up loving this outfit so thought I'd share it with you guys :)

Hope you're all well and having a good week.

My Answers
What made you start blogging? I'd been constantly reading loads of amazing blogs for the last year, and had truthfully been really inspired and thought to myself I'd love to do that. So I eventually took the plunge and started blogging, and I love it.

Favourite high end brand? I'm currently very addicted to MAC makeup.

Favourite drugstore brand? After seeing some amazing reviews on MUA, I decided to treat myself to a few of their products, and I've been overly impressed. The quality of the eyshadows are truly amazing, and I've been having tons of fun playing around with the nail constellation.

The most interesting thing thats happened to you? This is a tricky question I've had a few interesting things happen to me in my 21 years. Making cupcakes with Harry Styles is definitely up there though!

Your style icon? It has to be the Olsen twins, their outfits never fail to impress me and their both totally gorgeous.

Naked vs naked 2? They are both amazing, but for me I prefer the colours in the naked palette as I love the nude tones.

Your inspirations? I've met so many inspiring people in my life, all of my best friends constantly inspire me. But if I had to choose one person it would be my Mum, for always having a smile on her face no matter what life chucks at her and supporting me through everything :)

Your go to beauty product? Ohh toughy, I'm a bit of a beauty junkie and love all my beauty products. It has to be mascara though, to me it's almost like a comfort blanket. I instantly feel more confident with a layer of mascara

Your best beauty tip? Look after your skin!! In the last six months since I've began cleansing and toning on a regular basis I've noticed such a difference. It's never too early to start taking care of your skin.

Your stuck on a desert Island where you could take 5 things, what would they be? Mascara, vaseline, makeup wipes, my teddy bear and suncream, I don't want to burn in the sun.

Something that makes you happy? Waking up to my best friends every morning always puts a smile on my face :)

The Amazing bloggers I am nominating are:

My Questions
1. What is your favourite part of blogging?
2. What made you start your blog?
3. What beauty product could you not live without?
4. What do you hope to be doing in five years time?
5. What would you describe your personal style as?
6. What is your favourite clothing shop?
7. What is your favourite fashion era?
8. What is your favourite makeup brand?
9. Life motto?
10. Heels or flats?
11. Summer or Winter?

I've had a bit of a crazy week with being poorly, my wisdom tooth growing through..major ouch and all my uni work, but I thought I'd show you the fun bits and not bore you with mundane stories. My favourite part of the week was being part of the deal or no deal audience...yes Noel Edmonds shirts are as great in real life! Oh and guys please don't think I'm some crazy alcoholic from all these alcohol photos, a girls allowed to relax after a hard days work ;)

Hope you've all had a great week! What exciting stuff have you been up to?

I'm a whole lot of trouble

Jacket - Missguided / Dress - Topshop / Necklace - Primark / Shoes - Faith via Debenhams

So I've woke up today feeling pretty rubbish, bunged up with cold and I officially sound like a man and I vaguely resemble a hamster..sympathy please!?! My amazing flatmates are used to my dramatic ways, I've lost count of the amount of times I've rang the NHS or tried to go to A&E...we have now learnt A&E stands for accident and emergency not anything and everything in my case. They've all been running around after me though making me constant lemsips and offering me moral support...just what I need when I'm four hours away from my mum.

While I'm tucked up in bed I thought it was a perfect opportunity to do another outfit post. As you can see I'm refusing to accept the fact winter is coming and decided to brave an evening with the girls in bare legs, probably one of the reasons I'm now full of cold :( ...I love the print on this dress, my phone photos don't do it justice...I'm counting down the days till my Mum comes to visit and reunites me with my camera, but for now this will have to do.

Hope you are all having a good week :) x

I love the sales

Jacket - Topshop / Body - American Apparel / Skirt - Topshop / Hat - Topshop / Shoes - Primark

So after a week filled with uni work and to be honest not much fun, I decided to get the girls together for a girly lunch and a spot of shopping. After rummaging around all the beautiful vintage shops we have around our uni and not finding anything I began to think this shopping trip just wasn't meant to be. ..and then I remembered, TOPSHOP SALE! So off we went to topshop, and it was definitely a success. I've had my eye on this maxi skirt for ages, but as a student I just couldn't seem to justify the price, and there it was staring at me in the sale! Honestly I couldn't believe my luck! So I went home a very happy girl with my new skirt in hand.

I knew I couldn't wait long till I wore this skirt, so when my boyfriend decided we should go for dinner and drinks, this skirt was straight on. I've teamed it with my trusty american apparel body, my leather jacket and my little hat to dress it down ever so slightly. Hope you like this skirt as much as I do :)

 Dress - Urban Outfitters / Necklace - Etsy / Boots - Boohoo / Bracelet - H&M

Hey ladies, I wanted to share with you my favourite purchase of this month so far. I am literally finding any excuse to wear it...day or night! This dress is from Urban Outfitters, however the lace netting at the bottom wouldn't leave much to the imagination, so for the sake of everyone else I slipped a strapless black bodycon dress underneath...I think my dignity appreciated this! I literally can't fault this dress, it's super comfy, hides any lumps and bumps and can be worn casually or for a night out. What more can you want!?

Hope you lovelies are all having a fab weekend so far :) x

So if you haven’t already realised I get far too excited about shopping, any moment I have spare I’m dashing in to town or browsing the web on the look out for new additions to my wardrobe. So you can imagine my excitement when an exclusive pre-launch invite popped into my inbox from Mallzee.

So for all of you that don’t know Mallzee is a new website that is intending to make shopping online a more social experience. The concept behind Mallzee is that you’re in theory creating your own personalised mall...clever huh?! With over 200 brands already involved from Urban Outfitters, Boohoo and Office, its made easy for you to pick your favourites, add them to your boutique and Mallzee then cleverly suggests products that suit your taste.

For me the only problem with online shopping, is that I tend to buy things on impulse, with just one click and my bank balance has taken a hit, its all made far too easy. So that’s where the social aspect comes in. Mallzee is integrating with Facebook chat, questions, polls and ‘online wardrobes’ where you can show your friends outfits and get their instant opinions and save you from making those fashion faux pas, that lets face it we all occasionally make.

So it all sounds rather exciting. But the best is yet to come... Once you’ve designed your own mallzee featuring the brands and products that you like you can invite your friends to browse your wardrobe of purchases, and wait for it...if they buy anything, YOU earn money! Yes girls that’s right – Mallzee has come up with a way you can make money by spending it! For all you generous girls out there, Mallzee also give you the option to donate the money you earn to charities, everyone loves a good cause and Mallzee make it easy for you to a good dead and earn yourself some good karma :)

Mallzee will be launching soon, and I’ll make sure you lovely ladies are the first to know to make sure you don’t miss out. Although if your as excited as me and want to check it out yourself go to www.mallzee.com to sign up and even enter their competition to be in the chance with winning £100!

Wine Night

Dress - motel / Jacket - topshop / Hat - topshop / Shoes - boohoo

After what seemed like weeks of waiting (in reality it was only 3 days) my motelrocks order arrived and as usual I was not disappointed, I'd been visualising in my head how it was going to look and it exceeded that...so I was a very happy bunny. I'm already excited to wear this dress again, this time maybe braving the bare legs in this ermm..truly Britsh weather.

I dressed it down with a leather jacket and a little hat but added my heels, mainly due to the fact if I don't wear heels when out with my gorgeous leggy flatmates at just 5ft2 I can end up looking slightly like a midget.
I wore this outfit to an acoustic night at my student union, that featured amazing talented musicians and a lot of wine, two glasses for £4...can you blame me!?!

Remember girls 20% off at www.motelrocks.com with my discount code maddiedean14.

October Wishlist

Untitled #2

Wishlist by maddie-dean14 featuring a jean jacket

It’s half way through October already, can you believe it? Feels like yesterday I was enjoying the ‘summer’ holidays… this year really has flown by. So, even though it actually is half way through the month I decided I would do an October wishlist of a few of the items I’m wanting at the minute, and in an ideal world I would be out buying right now.
Missguided denim jacket with leather sleeves - I’ve wanted a denim jacket for absolutely ages now, and have been swaying between my love for the studded shoulder ones in Topshop and this beautiful Missguided one, I get outfit envy every time I see someone in a denim jacket these days. At just £29.99 this misguided one definitely seems more of a possibility, and the leather sleeves are just calling my name.
Lavish Alice and Topshop Jumpers - Now I’ve finally accepted that summer is over and it’s unlikely to be coming back anytime soon, I feel its time to get some new snug knits in my life. Both the Lavish Alice and Topshop jumpers have caught my eye, I really think the dogtooth print and the skull embellishment need to make an appearance in my wardrobe.
Essie nail polish and MAC eyeshadow - I’m constantly experimenting with my make up and nails, I think I’m at the stage now where I paint my nails at least every other day, I get bored far to easily. So I’m always on the hunt for new additions to my collection and pretty eyeshadows to experiment with…and these Essie polishes and MAC mineralize duo would fit in perfectly.

Office nighthawk leopard stud boots - In my eyes I have saved the best for last, I NEED these shoes in my life. I've been eyeing up the black version of these boots for a while now but after stumbling across these beauties in my local Office at the weekend the have now become a front-runner for my a/w boots. I mean leopard and studs in one shoe, I really don't know what more I could want from them.

I hope you all have a good week :) xx

It's always a good time

top - topshop / sleeveless denim shirt - yak lincoln / skirt - misselfridge / shoes - primark
hat - topman / necklace - tophop

So my first ever outfit post, the start of many many more to come :) ...this is a typical uni day outfit for me, hat on head meaning I get an extra ten minutes in bed. In theory its supposed to work but I tend to be the girl always sneaking in the back of the lectures five minutes late.

I'm literally loving crochet at the minute so when I saw this top in topshop I had to snap it up! Today I tucked it into a skater skirt, however I'm already excited to wear it with my discopants or with anything studded so I'm sure it'll be sneaking its way in to many more outfit posts so you can see just how glorious it really is. This is the first time this slouchy beanie has made an appearance, I'd been looking for a cute beanie everywhere but just couldn't seem to find the right one for me. But after being dragged round the shops with my boyfriend (role reversal) this topman one caught my eye. So now anytime I'm shopping with the boyfriend, I'll be sure to keep a look out for any cheeky bits  to add to my wardrobe!

Oh one last thing before I go..excuse the shoddy pictures, I've stupidly left my camera at home and I'm 4 hours away at uni so my iphones going to have to do until my mumma comes up in a few weeks.

Hope you're all well x

Motel Rocks

As a proud Motel Rocks Street Teamer, it seemed obvious that my first post should be on all the amazing items I'm currently craving for!

1) Zena bodycon dress 2) Joline short sleeve bodycon dress 3) Grace skater dress 4) Gabby sequin plunge back dress

In fact I've been a little naughty and dipped into my student loan and ordered myself the first two dresses...but hey I've been working hard so I deserve them right?!  Expect to see some outfit posts once these gorgeous dresses have arrived. As for the other two, who can resist a staple black dress, with the studs offering an edgy rock twist...perfect for any night out. And well the green sequin number speaks for itself right, what girl didn't love The Little Mermaid?!? With this dress you can relive those childhood memories, its a definite on my wish list.

So for all you girls who love motelrocks as much as I do, use my code maddiedean14 at the checkout to get an amazing 20% off all your orders. Happy Shopping :)

New to blogging.. hey :)

So I've been toying with the idea of starting a blog for a few months now after being completely inspired by all the amazing blogs already out there. So I've finally took the plunge and thought what better time than now!

So I suppose I should tell you all a little bit about myself... I'm in my final year studying marketing and advertising, which I absolutely love, but I decided it was about time I had a place where I could express some of my creativity rather than the essays I seem to find myself constantly doing. I'm a bit of a clothes hoarder, I can't seem to resist treating myself whenever I walk past a shop...my student loan has definitely taken some hits over the years. My blog will probably be used as a place to share my love for clothes, all things pretty and no doubt a lot of rambling.

Hope you enjoy!x
