Wild Horses

Playsuit - Ohmylove / Hat - Topshop / Bag, Belt, Necklace - Primark / Shoes - Jeffrey Campbell

How gorgeous is the print of this playsuit?!? I'm sucker for a cute print and this quirky horse print and gorgeous colour drew me straight in and it was a bargain £10!! I'm resisting from shopping much at the minute, other wise my poor family will end up with no Christmas pressies, so I couldn't believe my luck when I saw the price and ordered it straight away. I just went for some simple black and gold accessories with this outfit as I felt the playsuit was enough on its own. As you can see I had a slight bra mishap, this was changed before I went out however I didn't have enough time to take new photos, so you can all laugh at my awful bra failure.

Hats are becoming my new life saver, I seem to have one glued to my head every day now...probably because it saves me a lot of hair time in the morning and I'm definitely trying to conceal my awful roots at the minute. Sorry this is another quick post, I've been such a hermit the last few weeks with uni work and just generally don't have time for much else... but in less than 2 weeks I will be free for Christmas, so that gives me lots more time to post, YAY :)

Hope you're having a good week :) x

Dream Outfit #1

Untitled #5

Procrastinating from uni work has hit an all time high, I've spent my morning piecing together wishlists and outfits and lusting over far too many clothes. After oogling over embellishments, studs and tartan galore, I settled on this as my favourite current outfit. The gothic trend just captivates me at the minute, the tough yet glamorous look is perfect for any occasion. Motel have an absolutely amazing range of studded, beaded items, and I literally want to own it all and feel like an extra in Twilight. The tartan shorts brighten up this outfit, as all black for me is just that teeny bit too extreme, I need a bit of colour in my life. The gothic trend seems to have a key focus on edgy accessories and these spiked Litas fall into this category beautifully..I really need to get my hands on a pair, hopefully Santas feeling generous.

Also girls if any of you are loving Motel as much as me at the minute, use the code maddiedean14 for 20% off x

Anything could happen

Blazer - River Island / Top - Topshop / Disco Pants - American Apparel / Bag - Lulu Guinness / Fur Stole - H&M / Cuff Bracelet - H&M / Belt - Primark / Boots - Boohoo

I've finally accepted how cold it's getting and decided to dress a bit more weather more bare legs and short sleeves...sob. At least it means my trusty disco pants will be getting a lot of wear, I find they keep me much warmer then any of the leggings I own. So I went for a casual outfit today, I love how the range of neutral tones compliment each other and I especially love the comparison of the texture of the blazer compared with the fur stole.

These photos do really emphasise the whole root thing I have going on here, I haven't dyed my hair in far too long and I'm wanting a change but I'm far too indecisive so I keep putting it off. So any hair suggestions are welcome :)
Hope you are all well :) x

School Girl

Shirt - ASOS / Dress - Missguided / Jacket - Topshop / Hat - Topshop / Belt, Necklace & Boots - Primark

I definitely feel like a school girl in this outfit, which is rather fitting as I'm just about to dash off to the library to spend my afternoon there. But there is always time for a bit of procrastination so I thought I'd do a quick outfit post before I leave for my fun filled afternoon.

Velvet and burgundy are my two favourite things this Autumn, so this Missguided dress is perfect..I love the gorgeous cut out detail which this outfit isn't showing off to its full potential. But don't fear this is the dress I plan to wear for my friends 21st so no doubt this will make another outfit post. I'd been planning on wearing this outfit the last few days, but the recent wind outside hasn't made it easy...I doubt anyone wants to see me chasing after my hat flashing my wish me luck outside today I'm hoping I don't find myself in that situation.
Hope you all have a great weekend!x

Top - Urban Outfitters / Skirt - Topshop / Necklace - Forever 21 / Belt - Primark

My love for midi length skirts and dresses is still going strong, anything midi and I instantly want to buy it...I just love their versatility, they look fab grunged up for an easy day look or can be carried through to the night with their gorgeous silhouette. Self restraint isn't one of my strong points when it comes to shopping so I recently bought this skirt and it seems to have featured as a regular part of my wardrobe so I thought it was about time it made an appearance in one of my outfit posts. I've teamed it with one of my all time favourite buys, my cropped urban outfitters polo top, I'm completely in love with the pattern on it and it goes with everything from my disco pants to pleather skirt and as you can see this midi skirt... expect to see this beauty popping up from time to time in more outfit posts.

Dress - Topshop / Scarf - Primark / Bag - Primark / Socks - Primark / Belt - Primark

Another inappropriate outfit for this time of the year...I officially think I'm struggling to come to terms with just how cold it is outside at the minute, this outfit proves I'm in definite denial. I wasn't as daring as these photos make me look though, my leather jacket did get chucked on over the top.
I'm stuck for words a bit today, I feel like nothing interesting is happening in my life at the main topic of conversation is uni work and I really am starting to bore myself hearing it, so once all my essays are handed in I'm sure my posts will perk up.

I love this Topshop dress, I haven't got many day dresses so this is perfect and can be styled in so many different ways...they also do it in a green and a burgundy which I'm seriously contemplating getting my hands on. This is just a simple outfit that I wore to the library, choosing my outfits in the morning is definitely becoming the highlight of my day at the minute!

Hope you're all good!x

The Wonders of My World

Playsuit - Topshop / Top - Topshop / Bag - Marc B / Hat - Topshop / Belt - Primark / Necklaces - Primark / Shoes - Topshop

So after a day stuck in the university library, I thought I'd take a well needed break and show you what I'm wearing today. Drum roll please... introducing my new favourite playsuit... the tartan check pattern just grabbed my attention. I've been wanting a few tartan items for a while now but really wasn't sure if I could pull of the traditional red tartan look so when I saw this I knew it was the perfect compromise. This bowler hat was an amazing idea until I stepped outside, all the way from my flat to the library I was firmly holding it to my head to save it from blowing away, it's safe to say I get a few odd looks. Moral of the story is...hats and wind just do not work.

It's only Monday and I'm feeling like a lazy week already as I know this uni work is going to completely tire me out. I'm sick of the library already and its only day one. So apologies in advance if I don't post as much as usual. Although, I have been a bit cheeky and treated myself a little bit recently which does mean I have lots of new things to share with you :) bank balance however is not feeling as pleased.

Hope you all have an amazing week!x

High For This

Shirt - Topshop / Dress - Topshop / Belt - Primark / Tights - Primark

After a week of non stop Uni and everything else that comes with it, I couldn't be happier to welcome the weekend...its about time really! I have had the busiest week in a long time so I'm looking forward to a girlie lunch today and then the cinema to perv on Edward in Twilight...controversial I know, but yes I am officially TEAM EDWARD! I've even tried to persuade the girls to dress as vampires for the showing, but they were unfortunately having none of it. Other than being a major Twilight keeno I plan on catching up with all the blogs I love and taking some snaps for up and coming posts...perfect relaxing weekend I hope.

I love the pinafore dresses at the minute but with my student budget and Christmas coming up I really can't afford this is my attempt of creating a similar look with clothes I already own. I really have worn this shirt to death now but it still seems to be a favourite so I've been looking of new ways to wear's too nice to be chucked to the back of my wardrobe, and whats better than layering clothes in the Autumn.

Crescent Moon

This is very unlike my usual posts, but I'm that in love with this Topshop highlighter that I feel I need to tell the world... and I'm pretty sure no one living within a mile radius of me would appreciate my shouting out of my window, so blogging my love was the next best option.

My usual highlighter was Benefit High Beam, but once that ran out I was literally itching to get my hands on the Topshop Crescent Moon. It is a beautiful multi-tonal highlighter in a velvet smooth powder that is so easy to apply to the skin. I love the noticeable yet subtle effect that makes it perfect for day to day wear. I purchased this about three weeks ago and its now worked its way into my everyday make-up routine and I can't see a reason why it wont be staying there! I really would recommend this to anyone looking for a highlighter. With a £10 price tag I would have to say its just as good if not better than the Benefit and MAC highlighters I have previously used. Although so far I've found it seems to be lasting forever, I will definitely be repurchasing!

Life Snaps

Unoriginal kitty cat halloween fancy dress / Breakfast in bed :) / Sparklers with the boyfriend / Dairymilk Orea = the yummiest chocolate ever invented / Bristol Waterfront / Deal or No Deal audience / Sparklers / Messing about with my girls at Deal or No Deal / Bristol

Yes my Halloween outfit is rather unoriginal, I usually go all out and spend hours making costumes. Orignally me and my flat mates planned to go as bats, but that fell through about 2 hours before we needed to get we made the best of a bad situation and went as cats. I've had a rather hectic week and haven't actually been in my flat much. I went off to Bristol for a few days to see Deal or No Deal...yes I am Noel Edmonds number 1 fan. Bristol really is an amazing place, if any of you get the chance to go there I'd definitely recommend Cabot Circus for a bit of shopping and check out the waterfront, it is just a beautiful place for dinner or drinks. Now I'm back its all down to the boring stuff...incredible amounts of uni work, absolute yawn. The only thing keeping me going is the thought of Christmas...39 DAYS TO GO and plenty of Oreo Dairymilk.

Hope you've all had an amazing week!x

Shirt - Motel Vintage / Skirt - Topshop / Tights and Socks - Primark / Hair Bow - MissSelfridge

I am such a fan of burgundy at the minute, it really is the perfect Autumn colour. So I rummaged around in my wardrobe and dug out all the burgundy items I own. This skirt being one of them, chucked right in the back of the wardrobe. I'm not usually one for short skirts in the day, but with tights and socks beneath I thought I could just about get away with it.

So I was in Bristol and the lovely Asha recommended some amazing places to go shopping etc, this shirt is one of the items I treated myself to whilst away. These photos really don't do the shirt justice, the colour has the most beautiful floral pattern which is adorable on its own or poking out beneath a big knit. I really am loving floral prints this Autumn. I was a bit naughty and bought myself a few more bits  whilst in Bristol which I will show you all later this week.

Hope you're all well!

Bristol Bound

Shirt - Cheap Mondays / Skirt - Topshop / Shoes - Boohoo / Necklace and Ring - Primark

Right, just a quick one today, I'm up stupidly early as I'm off to Bristol for a few days with some of my flatmates, and for once I seem to be ahead of schedule so thought it was the perfect time for a very quick outfit post... On the topic of Bristol if anyone knows any nice areas for shopping or dinner do let me know as me and my flatmates are all a bit clueless.

This shirt is my go to item, whenever I'm stuck with what to wear this seems to call my's literally perfect it seems to just go with everything. So don't be surprised if this pops up in a few more outfit posts. Since I bought my leather skirt last week I  appear to have lived in it, definitely a new favourite in my A/W wardrobe, hides any unwanted lumps and bumps and looks amazing with a shirt or a big winter knit.

Well this post has definitely killed some time and I am now running late so I best dash...
Hope you all have a fabuuuulooous few days x

Sunday Funday

Hat - Topshop / Dress - MinkPink via ASOS / Socks - Primark / Necklace - Topshop / Creepers - Topshop

I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't shop this week, but when an email from ASOS popped up in my inbox offering 25% student discount for two days only...I thought it would be silly not to have a look... low and behold I fell in love with this dress. The cut out shoulders and the high neck drew me straight in and when it arrived I was even more impressed. The shape is so flattering and it's such a versatile dress. Today I'm wearing this into town for lunch with my friends, but it will definitely be making an appearance in the evenings.

I'm off to Bristol tomorrow to see Deal or No Deal celebrity special, I'm a bit of a deal or no deal geek and religiously watch it with my flat mates...such an exciting life. This means there may be a lack of posts this week, but I'm hoping I'll have lots to show you when I'm back from my trip to Bristol.

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend x

Let it Sparkle

Jumper - H&M / Skirt - American Apparel / Shoes - Newlook / Necklace and Ring - Primark

I snapped up this H&M jumper as soon as I saw it, the metallic sparkle look of it put me instantly in the christmas mood and for £7.99 I thought my bank balance wouldn't mind too much. I'm still on the hunt for a proper christmas jumper to get me in the festive mood...if you haven't realised already I get far too excited this time of year!

This is what I wore to Uni today, and it's suddenly dawned on me that all my work deadlines are in the next month, so I can already seeing it being a crazy month of non stop work. I hate taking pictures in my university room. The background is hardly amazing and the natural lighting, well it's pretty non existent...all my flatmates have friends up and there seems to be no where else to take pictures this week. I tried to venture outside for photos today but the rain just wouldn't allow it.

November Wishlist

November Wishlist

How is it November already, this year is flying by..although this makes me extremely excited that it's nearly CHRISTMAS...48 days till Christmas to be exact. So I thought I'd share with you some of the items I'm lusting over this month, maybe even use this as an early Christmas list.

I'm literally loving tartan at the minute, although I'm a bit unsure as to whether I could pull of a full tartan number, so this Topman scarf is the perfect compromise. I'm currently trying to persuade my boyfriend to buy it so we can share...I am a skint student after all. I'm not usually big on floral prints but I've seen some lovely florals flying about this Autumn and this Topshop cropped corset has to be one of my favourites.

I've been on the hunt for a watch for a while now, I've been eyeing up Michael Kors watches on a regular basis until I came across this beautiful Marc Jacobs number. The black is just so wearable with all of my outfits and I just love the contrasting white logo around the face. Potential christmas pressie?!?

I'm still finding it hard to come to terms with just how cold its getting, so this River Island jacket is very much needed. I need to keep wrapped up...colds just seem to be attracted to me at the moment plus it's just such a pretty jacket and I'm trying to find any reason to justify treating myself.

After my October Wishlist I'm still trying to find the perfect pair of A/W boots..I went to my local Office and sadly they didn't have the boots I wanted in my was a sad day! Since then I've purchased a few pairs from Primark..which really do have a lovely collection of shoes at the minute. I've been saving my pennies though for a really nice special pair but I can't seem to make my mind up, Office and Topshop just have soooo many boots that seem to be calling my name. These Topshop boots seem to be a strong contender though.

I hope your all surviving this cold weather x

The Little Things

Shirt - Topshop / Crop top - Topshop / Discopants - American Apparel / Necklace - Etsy / Hair tie - Primark

Just a quick outfit post today, my Sunday is consisting of the library :( ...I have so much uni work to do, I need someone to come relieve me of my work with a Starbucks and a dairymilk. I would do anything to go back to first year...or even second.

This shirt is another new purchase I bought when in Nottingham, I'd been looking for a new checkered shirt for a while, I love this one as it just has that little something different. These crop tops from Topshop are my new favourite, I'm slowly building up a collection of all the colours. I just love how easy they are to wear, day and night.
Looking at these photos this hair style is definitely showing off my roots but is such an easy style for the day. I definitely need to get my hair done soon, I'm thinking of a bit of a change, a darker blonde maybe? Anyone have any suggestions, I'm a bit of a wuss when it comes to changing my hair colour but I kind of want to stop bleaching my hair. Anyway the library is calling my name...

Hope you've all had a good weekend and that your Sunday is better than mine :) x
