Company Style Blogger Awards

Apologies in advance for the photo heavy post, trust me I've cut them down there could of been a hell of a lot more.

I was lucky enough to meet up with three beauts before the event, Adora, Abbie and Sade. The thought of turning up on my own wasn't ideal, so I was so grateful to have such lovely company for the day. Being the oh so typical bloggers that we are, we stopped off to get a few cheeky outfit snaps of each other. How gorgeous do they all look!? After we finished our photo sesh, we were stopped by a TV crew filming for bravo and we somehow ended up being roped into being filmed..without even reading it we signed a contract...later worrying what we'd actually agreed too...did we sign our soul away, or worse?!

Once we arrived to the event we were greeted by lovely staff giving us drinks vouchers and telling us to help ourself to free champagne...I instantly felt like I was living in luxury, surrounded by gorgeously stylish girls sipping champagne and picking at sushi. When I started my blog less than a year ago I never imagined I'd be here. Me and the girls swanned around mingling with others, sometimes feeling like a bit of a crazy fan girl as some of the bloggers there I've followed for a slightly stalkerish non crazy way. New Look sponsored the night and there was gorgeous items spread around for us to gawp at. My favourite part had to be the photobooth myself, Abbie and Adora piled in with blue wigs and crazy sunglasses and got some cheeky snaps. We even had the chance to get a bit creative as Pinned it! Made it! had a stand where you could make your own sunglasses...I will definitely be rocking mine on holiday at the end of the month.

The awards were announced and myself and Brooke were awarded highly commended in our categories, mine best personal style blog newcomer and Brooke in best fashion blog newcomer. It was pretty surreal and we were both giddy with excitement so we scurried over to the gorgeous editor of company magazine, Victoria White, to thank her for our awards and for such a fabulous night.

What an amazing night it really was, Company and New Look went all out to ensure everyone had an amazing night. Again a massive thank you to everyone involved, I'm sure I speak for everyone there when saying it was one hell of an event. Thank you again to all of you who voted and helped me get the highly commended award, your all massive babes.

Company Style Blogger Awards - What I Wore

Jacket & Jumpsuit - Topshop / Necklace - Miss Selfridge / Bag - Marc B / Shoes - Primark

Hey lovelies, so this is going to be the first of two posts on the Company blog awards, I didn't want to overwhelm you with photos, as there's a lot to be shown! I'd been looking forward to this evening since the invitation popped up in my inbox around a month ago...ever since then I was umming and ahhhing on what to wear..I'm sure you'll all agree it's seriously hard work being a girl and outfit planning. I eventually decided on this gorgeous jumpsuit from Topshop...the print is just ahhmazing and I completely fell in love with it and knew it was perfect for the awards. I teamed it with this pink statement jacket for a bit of colour blocking and kept jewellery minimal with a chunky necklace.

I had the perfect night and met some amazing bloggers, I was lucky enough to have four utter babes to spend the night with Abbie, Brooke, Sade and Adora..we drank champagne, giggled, gossiped and mingled around...but more to come on that in the next post. I just want to say a massive thank you to all you lovelies who voted for me in my category 'best personal style newcomer blog' the gorgeous Victoria won, but I was over the moon when they announced I'd won highly commended in this category. It was unbelievable that I'd even got shortlisted so to win highly commended was truly amazing as I was up against some other fabulous blogs so I didn't think I stood a chance, thanks again and I love everything single one of you who voted.

In the next post I will share with you all the photos I took at the event :) and finally I want to say a massive thank you to Company Magazine and New Look for hosting such a special event.

Today I wore it casually ad teamed it with my favourite jacket from Missguided, the metallic sleeves are perfectly on trend and make an easy alternative from my usual leather jacket.

Come on in

Top & Trousers - Topshop / Necklace - Primark / Shoes - Schuh / Watch - Marc Jacobs

Another monochrome outfit..I'm still seriously loving the monochrome trend, I just can't fault it and what better way to take it through to summer by adding a pop of colour. I teamed my Topshop striped trousers with a casual blue vest top, I love the contrasting smartness of the trousers with the simpleness of the top. I know I've featured this Primark necklace in a lot of recent posts, but it has become a firm favourite of mine and I'm loving how a simple necklace can add something extra with a bit of colour blocking. To keep with the colour blocking theme I added my rainbow flatforms from Schuh, which I must add are seriously some of the comfiest flatforms to walk in and are perfect for spicing up every outfit.

I'm now offering advertising on my blog, so if you have your own blog or a shop and are at all interested email me at, prices start from £3 and there is something to suit everyone from a small advert featured in my side bar, to being the top advertiser and getting a #FF on twitter and featuring on a blog post that month. If this sounds like something you're interested in and you'd like to know more please don't hesitate to get in touch!

Hope you lovelies are well!

Cotton Candy

Top & Jeans - Topshop / Bag - Cambridge Satchel / Necklace - H&M / Shoes - eBay

How cute is this body from Topshop?! It is one of my cheeky buys from Birmingham, but for £18 I think it's pretty reasonable and perfect for when the hot weather finally comes out. I'm wearing it with my Topshop joni jeans today for a casual day time look.. but I can't wait to team it with some denim shorts and some colourful flatforms for a more summer appropriate look. I'm not usually one for heels in the day but at 5ft2 and with these eBay beauties being oh so comfortable, I think I can just about get away with it!

Just a quick post today I have a day of fun things planned, starting with heading to the range with my flat mates..that might sound a bit weird to you, but the range is the funnest shop ever, a perfect way to spend cash I don't have on things I don't need..but thats all part of the fun..last time we came back with trees, wind chimes and a hell of a lot of sweets. This evening we're off to see the great gatsby, I've herd some good things and if not at least I get to perve of Leo for over 2's a win win situation!

I just want to say a massive thank you for all your lovely comments and kind words recently and for helping me reach 1000 followers, it's amazing and i loveeee you all for always putting a massive smile on my face...high five to you all for being such babes!

Top - Topshop / Riding pants - American Apparel / Jacket, necklace & shoes - Primark

Why did I not invest in riding pants before..possibly the greatest pair of trousers I own. So flattering yet so comfy, perfect for a casual outfit and just as perfect for an evening outfit. I really don't know what else I would want out of them. The peachy pink colour of these pants mean theres endless options of colours to wear with I've opted for a casual look with this striped Topshop tee and a bright pink chunky necklace to add a subtle bit of colour blocking. With a denim jacket chucked over the top I think it finishes the outfit off, giving it an almost 90's vibe...a trend which I am absolutely loving at the minute.,I will happily wear anything that reminds me of my childhood...whether this is a good thing or not I am yet to decide.

Now my uni exams have finished I'm enjoying a week of fun with my flatmates before the serious task of job hunting begins. Yesterday I ventured to Birmingham for a massive shopping trip, I thought I deserved it after the last month of uni work..this means I have lots of outfits to share with you over the next few weeks!

Skirt and Crop - Topshop / Necklace - Primark / Shoes - eBay

Yesterday was a momentous day for me, I had my last ever uni exam meaning I have officially finished uni, thats hoping everything goes to plan and I have no retakes. I almost feel like I don't know what to do with myself now after spending the last month constantly in the library or revising being able to do nothing is a surprisingly weird feeling..but it now means I have all the time in the world to blog..yay!

This skirt is a favourite of mine, the length, the colour, the fit..everything about it is just perfect. I teamed it with this adorable leopard crop from Topshop which I've had for a while now and is a massive staple in my wardrobe, it just seems to go with everything. I added these heels to smarten it up as I was off out for a celebratory lunch with my uni friends, so thought I'd make an extra bit of effort. These heels seem to be all round the blogosphere and for £27.99 off eBay its pretty easy to see why, it's definitely worth checking them out..I'm thinking I need them in black now too. I'm always dubious about platform heels, I seem to loose my balance but these are so comfy and ridiculously easy to walk in which is a massive thumbs up.

I'm off to enjoy my time of being free for the next week until I move back home and the massive task of job hunting begins. Hope you lovelies have an amazing weekend!

What I've Been Buying #3

American Apparel / Mink Pink / Primark / Vintage / River Island / Claires Accessories

Naturally, I'm pretty depressed at the though that I shall never be getting a student loan again, it's a god this term, I've been making the most of it and treating myself to a few goodies in preparation for the Summer. A mixture of pastel and bright colours are a necessity for the warmer months. I finally treated myself to the American Apparel riding pants in the gorgeous colour pink cheeks after seeing a 30% off code flying about..and I can't believe I haven't bought them sooner, the fit is ridiculously flattering and they look perfect for day and night.

Patterned tops are going to be big this summer so I've indulged in a few, Primark have some amazing ones and that spotted shirt is from looks identical to one I've seen in Topshop but for more than half the cost, got to love a bargain!

My favourite buy has to be the Motel co-ord, crop and skirt, I mentioned the skirt in a recent wishlist and decided it was too good not too buy...sorry bank balance. The perfect thing about co-ords is it instantly gives you loads more outfits, they're worn perfect together but look just as good separately. I can't wait to play around with some more outfit combinations with this look to share with you. If you girls are loving this Motel number as much as me remember you can get 20% off at the checkout with the code 'maddiedean14'.

I'm sure all these items will feature in full in some outfit posts over the next few weeks, so keep your eyes peeled! Apologies if I don't post till next week now, revision is in full swing. roll on Friday afternoon when my life will resume!

Flower Power

Top - Vintage / Jeans - Topshop / Shoes - Primark / Flower headband - ASOS / Necklace - Matalan

Todays outfit started off pretty simple in this velvet crop and my trusty jeans, but I wasn't feeling needed more, and then I saw my flower crown pinned up on my notice board and I knew I wanted to wear it. It's raining outside, I'm locked in my room doing revision...this flower crown was necessary to cheer me up and make revision more bearable. Although, I don't think Lincoln is quite ready for flower crowns, judging by the amount of looks I got whilst doing my weekly shop in Morrisons this Morning. I've recently been one for bright bold colours and prints in my outfits, but I sometimes think plain outfits can look just as good when you have a staple accessory to finish off the outfit...this flower crown is definitely going to be a Summer staple..I feel like I'm rocking my inner garden fairy and I love it.

Back to revision for me, I shall not procrastinate any longer!

Top - eBay / Trousers - H&M / Shoes - Primark / Necklace - c/o Mvintage

Just a quick one today, I'm on serious revision mode, so much to learn so little time. My last exam is next Friday and then thats uni done for good for me. A massively scary thought, don't think I'm quite ready to leave and be released to the adult world. Good luck to any of you who've got exams coming up too.

Both the top and trousers have been featured in recent outfit posts, but I love both of them so much that it would be rude them not appearing again. This Celine dupe is from eBay, and I pretty much live in goes with literally anything. These trousers were a bargain £9.99 from H&M, I actually thought the price tag was wrong when I first looked. I've definitely more than got my money worth with them. They're perfect for when you want that smart/casual look, it's one of those looks I find hard getting the right balance...I always end up too casual or too smart, but with a cute pair of heels I think this outfit hits the nail on the head.

Hope you lovelies have an amazing weekend!

*May Wishlist*

Skirt - Motel / Neon Crop - Oh my Love / Monochrome Crop - River Island / Playsuit - Topshop /  Clutch Bag - River Island

I'm seriously poor this compared to usual I'm not going to be able to treat myself quite as much, but this doesn't stop me lusting over endless items. I've picked out some of my favourites that if I do have some spare change left over will definitely be coming home with me at the end of the month.

I'm completely in love with this skirt from Motel, the colours and the tie dye are perfect and to make it even better it has a matching halter neck crop. I'm off on holiday to Malia in just over a month and this skirt would be the perfect addition to my holiday fact I think I need the matching top too. Mission win the lottery is officially on! If you love it as much as me you can get 20% off Motel Rocks with the code 'maddiedean14'.

Bright colours and monochrome have to be my favourite trend of 2013 so far. I have a serious addiction to crop tops, and these oh my love and river island numbers are right up my street. Both offering something extra with cute little cut out detailing making them oh so wearable for day or night. I honestly can't pick between the two...helpp!!

As I mentioned I'm going on holiday in a little over a month, yes thats the second time I told you in one post..I am seriously excited. I've got my eye on a few holiday cover ups, but this little playsuit from Topshop is definitely the front runner at the moment, perfect to chuck on over a bikini or with a few bold chunky accessories it smartens it up perfectly for a holiday evening.

Lastly is this clutch, oh the pink and the white had me drawn in straight away...that's definitely my girlie side coming through. Most of the clutches I own at the minute are black and it's about time I injected some colour into my bag collection. It would go perfectly with the Motel skirt I best stop before I convince myself to buy everything on my wishlist and go bankrupt.

Love, love, love
