More to life

Dress and Necklace - Primark / Shoes - Jeffrey Campbell

My love for Primark is growing and growing, every time I go in there these days I seem to find something that I feel the need to buy...which is good really as it's doing my bank balance a world of good. By now if you've been reading my blog a while you will understand my love for anything midi..all the midi dresses or skirts I own at the minute are plain. So when I saw the gorgeous pattern of this dress I knew it was worth a buy..and I was not disappointed. It fits perfectly and goes with so much I already own, so accessorising it was not difficult.

I wore this out for drinks with my flatmates and got so many lovely compliments on the dress, no one could quite believe it was from Primark. I have a few other Primark bargains to share with you in outfit posts over the next week or so as well...I get excited every time I find something amazing in there. This week has been far too hectic, dissertation work has reached a whole new level, so I really do apologies for the lack of posts and in advance if this continues for the rest of the week...I do promise I will try and post as regularly as possible.

Hope you're all well x

Out of my mind

Top, Collar and Hat - Topshop / Disco Pants - American Apparel / Shoes - Faith / Ring - Primark

I feel like I'm in a bit of a style rut at the minute, sticking to outfits that are very safe...I find myself buying items that are similar to each other and my outfits resembling each other from day to day. So I've decided I'm going to save my pennies for the next few weeks and treat myself to some new, different clothes in February...I'm excited already, I've been window shopping online and seen some items I'm going to have to invest in...to start with some staple high waisted black jeans to get me out of my disco pant phase.

I do love this top though, it has to be one of my favourite purchases this month, it looks amazing dressed up and equally as good casual. I'm back to loving my bowler hat, and opting for it over my beanies...perfect cure to a bad hair day and gives me that extra ten minutes in bed. This is just an outfit I wore out for lunch with the girls. We went to Toby Carvery, thats one of the main thing I miss about uni...mums roast dindins...so a trip to get a roast was a necessity as its been a while.

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend x

Dream Outfit #3

Untitled #10

This cold weather has seen me dressing in a hell of a lot of black, I'm finally ready for some sunshine and warmer weather so adding colour to my outfits is a must, and after seeing a few of the summer/spring previews this pastel green jumper is perfect. I wanted to be slightly realistic and go for an outfit that I could wear in the coming months, so instead of going for shorts or some dungarees, which I must say are definitely on my wishlist at the moment, I opted for these light denim Topshop jeans. My favourite thing about these jeans are that they are high wasted, perfect to wear with a casual crop without revealing too much. Accessories I kept with neutral tones to complement the gorgeous jumper, and of course if this outfit was to be worn at the minute a snood would give you that extra warmth.

Now all I need is to win the lottery and all of these items can be mine...for now I will keep dreaming.

Bad Influences

Top and Necklace - Topshop / Disco Pants - American Apparel / Bag - Zara / Ring - Primark / Watch - Marc Jacobs / Shoes - Jeffrey Campbell

For once I was ready before my flat mates so thought I'd use the opportunity to snap a few photos of what I wore out for drinks for my beautiful best friends 21st! I bought this top when I went to London a few weekends back and had been dying to find the right occasion to wear it. I think that was half the reason I got ready so quick, my outfit decision was made pretty easy due to this monochrome beauty, which matched my Marc Jacobs watch perfectly. I now regret not wearing this top sooner, the mesh inserts and the length are super flattering, one of those outfits you put on and instantly feel inches smaller. I teamed it with my staple disco pants and Jeffrey Campbells and I was good to go....in this cold weather getting the legs out was not an option. My obsession with monochrome really needs to stop though, I seem to be wearing it pretty much every other day and I'm still not bored of it.

We had an amazing night full of the yummiest cocktails I've ever tasted, but I'm definitely paying for it today and the boyfriends giving me no sympathy, so I'm feeling very sorry for myself and I'm back in bed doing some online shopping...that's definitely the best way to cure a hangover.

Ragged

Shirt - Primark / Leggings - American Apparel / Hat - Ragged priest via Topshop / Shoes - Jeffrey Campbell / Bag - Topshop / Necklace - Primark

I'm on a bit of a spending cut at the minute, but after going in Primark and spotting this shirt I just had to buy it. My old denim shirt has seen better days now and this is definitely a new replacement, the sheer black sleeves just add something different and it makes a perfect casual uni day outfit when I'm rushing around in the mornings. Primark really does have some gems in at the minute, now I've booked my summer holiday I'm on a proper tight budget so I'm embracing the bargains. On the subject of summer holidays, I'm now on mission beach goddess...I've spent every day this week in the gym determined to get toned, so if any of you lovelies have any exercise tips or posts on exercise please do share with me.

This is just a really quick post today, I am having such a manic week and I promise normal posts will resume next week :) x

Someone like me

Jumper - ASOS / Dress & necklace - Topshop / Bag - c/o La Moda

So my wonderful Mum had obviously been checking out my blog and noticed that I posted this dress on one of my wishlists and bought it me for christmas...I was too excited, Mum definitely did good. I've worn this dress so much and I can't believe it has never featured on a blog post, so I thought it was about time. I had so much to do today and have been running around trying to sort out my friends 21st, uni work and our summer holiday...organising a holiday for 12 people really isn't easy, in fact its started to drive me slightly insane....so I'm taking some much needed me time to blog, read through peoples posts and do some cheeky online shopping, all whilst in the comfort of my bed.

I teamed my Topshop dress with my favourite ASOS fluffy jumper to try and keep myself warm in these arctic conditions we're currently experiencing..although a coat, scarf and gloves was promptly added before I left the flat. This La Moda bag is literally my new favourite, it hasn't left my arm since I received it and I don't think it will anytime soon, so be prepared to see this beauty a few times. The colours make it so easy to wear with my everyday outfits, and if you haven't realised I'm completely in love with studs, so the stud detailing at the bottom excites me even more. If you girls haven't herd of La Moda before, definitely check it out. It has a fab range of gorgeous bags for every occasion at such an affordable price. If you're as obsessed with the monochrome trend at the minute as I am, they have some amazing bags in, I'm currently eyeing up a few myself.

Hope you lovelies have all had an amazing weekend :) x

I'm a unicorn

Top - Drop dead clothing / Leggings and Shoes - Primark / Jacket - Missguided / Watch - Marc Jacobs / Bag - Cambridge Satchel

This outfit reminds me of my childhood, minus the swearing, but the top and the scrunchie takes me back to when my Mum used to dress me...she definitely taught me well. My little pony used to take over my childhood and this top just brings back all sorts of happy memories...plus the fact I just think it's super cute and fun, although my boyfriend definitely disagrees. This just a really casual uni outfit today, I have lectures all day so comfort comes first.

I'm sorry this is such a short post, I'm running majorly late but wanted to post today and wasn't sure when else I would have time. Hope you all have a good weekend :) x

Backpack Challenge

Dungarees & Belt - ASOS / Top & Shoes - Topshop / Necklace - Primark / Bag - c/o La Moda

When the lovely people at La Moda contacted me asking to take part in their 'backpack challenge' where I was asked to style this backpack with one of my outfits... I obviously jumped at the chance and was even more excited when the package arrived and I opened this gorgeous owl printed backpack. It's just the most adorable bag I've seen in a long time. If you haven't already check La Moda out here as they have this backpack in all sorts of gorgeous pastel colours. It's the perfect size to fit all my Uni work in and adds a quirky edge to casual outfits, so I can definitely see this becoming a regular to my day to day outfits. I now can't wait for the warmer weather to kick in as this bag would look perfect with a simple white summer dress and some tan coloured accessories. Today I teamed it with my new ASOS dungarees which I noticed in a few of you bloggers wishlists and instantly fell in love and can't wait to get my wear out of them, so be prepared for these to no doubt feature in a few more outfit posts.

Now I'm back at uni, work has taken a whole new high. Third year is seriously intense, I'd do anything to back to first year right now! I'll try and post as regularly as possible but apologies in advance if this doesn't happen. Hope you're all having a good week :) x

Back to reality

Jumper, skirt and necklace - Topshop / Shoes - Jeffrey Campbell / Bag - Primark

It's my first full day back in my uni flat, unpacking is taking forever I have clothes everywhere and not enough room to put them...they seriously don't give you enough wardrobe space here and my clothes rail has collapsed from the weight, it's definitely going to be a long day. I'm doing anything to take my mind off sorting my room out right now, so I thought I'd share with you what I'm wearing today.

This skirt is a buy from my trip to London this weekend, I could of spent all day in Topshop on Oxford Street but my boyfriend wasn't having any of it so I had a short but sweet shopping trip and managed to pick up a few gems. The black and white print of the skirt make it perfect to wear with pretty much any colour, so I went for this bright jumper to add some excitement to the outfit. I thought I'd make the most of being able to wear skirts before the snow is supposed to hit tomorrow and I'll be wrapped up in a gaaaaazillion layers as I just can't handle the cold these days.

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend :) x

Checkmate

Cardigan - H&M / Bag, leggings and crop top - Topshop / Necklace and shoes - Primark / Watch - Marc Jacobs

Just a quick casual outfit today, I'm running around like a mad lady trying to get everything packed as I'm off to London with the boyfriend tomorrow then straight back to uni..so I'm having a major stress. Me and packing don't have a great relationship, so I thought I'd take some time out and do an outfit post as this is my favourite from of procrastination.

I'm wearing my new favourite checkered leggings today, I've pretty much lived in them since I made the purchase, they go with everything and are perfect for when I haven't got much time to plan an outfit. I'm really starting to grow a collection of these Topshop crops and I bought this one the other day..I can't believe I didn't own a black one before, it literally is perfect for day and evening and doesn't break the bank. I kept the accessories simple today as I felt the pattern on the leggings was enough on its own. Now for the shoes...you can't see that well in these pictures but they are the cutest shoes... they are a black velvet with little skulls on them, honestly what more could I want from shoes. Primark have the cutest selection of pumps in at the minute and for £8 you can't go wrong, my next purchase may have to be some adorable ones I've seen with a moustache on...although I really should be saving my money...oh how I hate being a poor student.

*What's in my bag*

This is a bit of a different post for me, but I've seen a lot of these 'what's in my bag' posts flying around recently and being the nosey kid I am I just love reading them. So I've decided to jump on the band wagon and share with you what's in my bag, I hope you enjoy reading these posts as much as I do.

The bag thats constantly attached to my arm at the minute is my new pride and joy...the Cambridge Satchel my amazing boyfriend bought me for Christmas, boys definitely do pay attention sometimes. I was overwhelmed with excitement when I opened it, and even more so when I saw he had got my initials attached on it, it really was the perfect Christmas present. I usually chuck everything in my bag without any care or thought, but seeing as this bag is slightly more special than usual, I'm being a lot more cautious with looking after this beauty.

My daily essentials get carried around in the bag with me everywhere I go.

Purse // My new River Island purse that I treated myself to recently as my old purse was literally falling apart and crammed with receipts.

Car Keys // Pretty self explanatory, I couldn't live without my car these days. I have a massive collection of key rings, from photos from a night out to cute presents from friends.

Diary // I'm such a ditz and forget appointments within minutes of making them so this diary is a life saver for me.

Glasses // Not everyone knows this about me but I have terrible eyesight, I wear contacts on a daily basis but I carry around my Chanel glasses in case of emergency and tired eyes.

Perfume // Juicy Couture is my favourite perfume ever, I got this one for Christmas and it's the perfect size to chuck in my handbag.

Make up // My make up bag comes with me every where with a few essentials in it such as my benefit hula bronzer, mascara and my favourite lipsticks, which at the minute is my Dior Diorific in Diva and my Topshop one in hazard.

Nail file // For any nail emergencies.

Phone // My phone is my life, I'm one of them people who they are constantly attached to their phone, it irritates the hell out of my family and boyfriend but I just can't cope without it next to me.

I hope you've all enjoyed nosing into my bag, if any of you have done any posts like this leave your links as I love reading through them :) , hope you're all well x

Dancing Shoes

Top - ASOS / Skirt - Topshop / Necklace worn as belt - Primark / Shoes - Jeffrey Campbell / Socks - Topshop

Just an  evening outfit to share with you lovelies today after a hectic last night out back in my home town before I head back up to uni. This ASOS top caught my eye after I'd been lusting after a dress in a similar pattern from Topshop...but I just couldn't justify the price this close after Christmas...so at £25 (plus student discount) this top was the perfect compromise. This skirt has been worn to death for nights out since I've been home, I didn't bring all of my clothes back from uni and this was pretty much my only skirt...I'm not complaining though, I do love it.

Anyway I've got to go and start my packing and finish off uni work I should of sorted a while ago. I hope you're all having a good week :) x

Monochrome

Jumper and Skirt - ASOS / Shoes and Necklace - Topshop / Bag - Marc B / Watch - Marc Jacobs

Theres nothing better than waking up to a big clothes delivery sat on your door step, it definitely makes getting up in the mornings more exciting! I ordered a few bits from the ASOS and Topshop sale recently, I find it so much easier sale shopping online then the crazy crowds fighting for the bargains. Online shopping definitely is a stress free alternative for me. This striped midi skirt was one of my favourites...and a massive bonus it was only £12. I can see myself living in this..a midi and monochrome combination is definitely perfection. I paired it with my ASOS fluffy jumper which I seem to be living in at the moment. It's just perfect for layering over a skirt or a dress but the unique texture adds a little bit more excitement than a plain jumper.

Sorry my posts have been so brief at the minute, I seem to be constantly busy catching up with old faces and doing uni work and I haven't had as much time to reply to all your lovely comments like I really do love to do. So I just want to say thank you for all your kind words, it really does make me smile seeing such lovely comments.
