Neon Splash

Leggings & Top - Topshop / Shoes - Primark / Watch - Marc jacobs

I'm a walking Topshop advertisement these days.. but I'm completely loving all of their Spring/Summer items, every time I pop in, I seem to find something that I somehow convince myself I need. This top being a prime example, I go in for some moral support outfit hunting for a friend, vowing to myself I would not buy anything, and somehow I come out with this beauty. I need to learn self restraint..not that I'm complaining though, now I'm the proud owner of this top. The floral beading on the top is perfectly stunning, meaning a necklace isn't needed..the detailing just speaks for itself. I teamed them with my favourite Topshop leggings so this outfit wasn't too over the top for a day at uni. I seriously can't wait to get my life back from the library and be able to wear what I want without feeling slightly out of place surrounded by all the books.

Just a friendly reminder/request, as you probably already know I've been shortlisted for the company blog awards for best personal style newcomer blog, voting ends this week and I'll be forever grateful if you could vote for me, it will only take a minute.
Peace out!

Lucky Day

Top, Jacket & Hat - Topshop / Disco pants - American Apparel / Necklace - H&M / Shoes - Primark

This is quite a classic look for me, at the minute I'm usually in bright bold colours but I surprisingly like this look..it's almost casual yet sophisticated at the same time..if that's even possible. When i first saw this top it took me back to my judo days...yup thats right when I was 10 I did judo...I thought I'd try it on and relive my youth and was pleasantly surprised...with some naughty encouragement from my flat mate to part with my cash..it was mine. I teamed it with my disco pants, which I haven't worn in a while, but as I was wearing this outfit for a meal and I felt they smartened the whole look up. Teamed with my go to accessories..bowler hat and gold chain, the outfit was complete.

Hope you lovelies had a fab weekend x

I Need your Love

Hat, Top & Collar - Topshop / Disco pants - c/o shelikes / Shoes - Jeffrey Campbell

I'm always a bit dubious about disco pant dupes, they never seem to do the job as well as the original things...so I was more than pleasantly surprised when I received these white disco pants from shelikes. They lift you up and suck you in in all the right places just like the American Apparel ones. I also find the white the perfect alternative to my black ones, making them more appropriate for Spring and Summer and best of all there a reasonable £22..definitely saving your pennies with them. The only problem with these disco pants is at 5ft2 they are slightly too long, but thats nothing a pair of Jeffrey Campbell's can't fix. I can see these already becoming staples in my evening wardrobe this Summer.

Apologies for the lack of posts recently, what with uni work and being away this weekend, blogging has taken a bit of a back seat....but I have less on now, and my dissertation is finally done and dusted, massive yayyyyy, blogging can hopefully become more regular again and that means I can spend some time catching up on all your blogs so if you have any posts you think I might like please leave the link below. Thanks again for everyone who's been voting for me in the Company Blog Awards, means so much to me :)

Hope you're all well x

Worldwide Wardrobe Competition

Travel Supermarket are currently holding an amazing competition called 'Worldwide Wardrobe'. Girls..think jetting around the country in the outfit of your choice. Nope, you're not dreaming, this is the prize of Travel Supermarkets new competition.

All you have to do is create your dream outfit to one (or more) of the 5 selected holiday destinations, Paris, Ibiza, London, New York or Thailand and nominate 5 other bloggers you think will be up for the challenge. With such an amazing prize up for grabs, I knew this is something I had to enter. If you're like me and constantly dreaming of getting away and love putting outfits together then this is the perfect competition for you, to find out more information on how to enter, click here.

Since I don't have much time at the minute what with all my uni work I'm going to split my entries into two posts, starting with London and Ibiza.
holiday
Shopping in London
First things first when you think of shopping in London is the hustle and bustle of the crowded streets, meaning comfort must come first if you have any hope of making it to the end of Oxford Street. Seeing as I'm currently obsessing over the monochrome trend this was the inspiration for this outfit. A simple striped tee teamed with the ever so flattering Topshop joni jeans makes this a comfy yet on trend outfit. Of course no outfit is complete without a handful of accessories and I've stuck with a few of my favourite styles...starting with a hat, if you read my blog you'll know just how I feel about hats...I'd have one permanently attached to my head if I could, followed by a chunky gold chain and a bright orange bag to add some colour to this monochrome outfit.

Untitled #19
Clubbing in Ibiza
Seeing as I've been to Ibiza before I knew exactly the kind of thing I would wear, so putting this outfit together was pretty easy. Ibiza is the clubbing capital, but this does not mean glamorous dresses and sky scraper heels..shorts and sandals are all the range. These shorts from Fashion Union are perfect for a night in Ibiza, the tasselled detailing gives it that cute edge, ideal for the party scene. This cute crop is from Rihanna's collection at River Island, I love the striped top teamed with the plain black shorts leaving room for accessories to make this outfit. Some fun bracelets and jelly shoes to give this outfit a real holiday vibe, not forgetting some sunglasses to complete the look to hide those tired eyes when partying till 6am!

Keep your eyes peeled for my other entries to this competition, and if you've entered yourself be sure to leave your links so I can check them out!

Pure

Dress & Sunglasses - Topshop / Jacket - Primark / Bag - Cambridge Satchel / Necklace - Forever 21 / Shoes - Jeffrey Campbell

How gorgeous are the colours on this dress then!? They compliment each other perfectly in this stand out tie dye print. I'd tried this dress on in some bluey/purple colours when I had a personal shopper in London..I liked it but wasn't in love. I popped into my local Topshop this week and as soon as I saw the dress in these colours I knew I had to have it, saying no to the original dress was clearly fate. Now all I need is a tan, the neon colours will go perfectly with a glow..lets just hope this english weather makes that possible. This has definitely took place as my go to dress for the Summer..such an easy outfit to chuck on with not much thought but is still right on trend.

In other news, I've been invited to a boot camp this weekend by Travel Supermarket with 20 other lovely bloggers as part of their Holiday BFF campaign. So I'll be down in Norfolk for a few days of fitness related fun. Although I'm super excited to get down there and meet all the girls, I'm slightly concerned for my safety what with all the exercise I'll be doing..think running through mud army style..or as the case may be getting dragged through mud! I'm hoping my fitness levels will suffice, either way it should definitely be an experience to say the least.

Delilah Dust

All items - c/o Delilah Dust

If you haven't already herd of Delilah Dust than I can not urge you enough to check it out, such a gorgeous selection of on trend jewellery for such a fair price. Jewellery is one of those things that I always want more of but as soon as I go in high street shops I just can't seem to justify the £20 price tag. Now i don't want you to be fooled the cheap price tag certainly doesn't effect the quality, these necklaces have all made regular appearances on my outfits and I definitely have no complaints. The necklaces I was lucky enough to receive are all so delicately stunning, perfect for a simple finish to a casual outfit or layered together for more impact...the two silver necklaces look perfect together..be sure to look out for these little gems in some recent outfit posts.

90's Babe

Jumper & Jeans - Topshop / Necklace - H&M / Shoes - Schuh

So I'm kinda obsessing over the 90's trend at the minute, platforms, crops and scrunchies are becoming staples in my wardrobes and I just can't get enough, I'm definitely a 90's chick...6th member of the Spice Girls perhaps!? This cropped jumper has to be a firm favourite of mine..it's one of the items I bought in London with a personal shopper. The gorgeous pastel colours caught my eye straight away, and the fluffy texture is right up my street...the perfect S/S jumper, I just couldn't resist. My joni jeans were the obvious match for this jumper, the high waist means I'm not scaring everyone off by baring too much skin.

Okay...so I'm starting to annoy myself by constantly wearing this necklace. I've bought so much jewellery recently, yet this gold chunky chain somehow always seems to find its way to my neck. I need to start giving my other necklaces some love.

As you can tell this is a short post today, this is the last push of my dissertation and my head is just boggled with uni work and deadlines...I didn't want to not post at all so I thought I'd just keep it short and sweet so I can crack back on with uni work..I really am living the life right now.

April Wishlist

April wishlist

1. Topshop / 2. Topshop / 3. Wildfox / 4. JuJu / 5. Nastygal / 6. Missguided

Oh there is so many things I want this month. I'm blaming the fact I have so much uni work to do, so online shopping is happening way more regularly...my favourite form of procrastination. All the cute spring/summer items keep catching my eye, and I'm loving it. It makes a change as I'm used to living in neutral colours. I must be a changed woman though because I am seriously loving myself some colour in my outfits these days!

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend, I'm back off to my second home...the library!

Unleashed

Top & Necklace - H&M / Skirt - Topshop / Beanie - Ragged Priest / Shoes- Primark

Before I came back to uni I gave my wardrobe a massive clear out and amongst my tidying I found this cute little H&M crop that I'd bought a few months ago, just sitting there completely forgotten about. Now this is motivation to keep my wardrobe tidy in the future..I can't be forgetting about beauties like this. Seeing as I'm still loving the monochrome trend, I thought I'd team it with this black and white skirt, keeping in tune with the dotty theme of the top. Of course this outfit was topped off with my beanie so I got my extra ten minutes in bed.

Apologies this is such a short post, I'm off to spend the rest of my day in the library...oh the joys of being a student.

Chase the Rainbow

Jumper & Skirt - Topshop / Necklace - Forever 21 / Shoes - Schuh

So it's supposed to be Spring and even though the weather is telling me otherwise it's not going to stop me dressing appropriately for this season...that means bare legs and bright colours, I will suffer the cold in silence. This jumper and skirt are some more of the goodies I bought when on my mammoth shopping trip in London. I'm completely in love with this jumper, the quilted texture makes it the perfect casual jumper and it's so snuggly as well. Now on to the skirt, my new love, the bright colours the floral patterns, I dare you to tell me this skirt isn't perfect for S/S. I can't wait for the weather to actually get hot so I can team this with a cute crop and a tan. I've saved my favourite part of this outfit till last..my new shoes! How amazing is my Mummy picking these for one of my birthday presents. I almost died inside with excitement when I opened these beauties. As soon as I put them on I felt some sense of girl power, they definitely take me back to my days of crushing on the spice girls..these are definitely going to be my shoe of choice this Summer!

I'm apologising in advance if my blog posts become a little less frequent, it's less then two weeks till my dissertation is due in..so this means I am officially making the most of the libraries 24 hour opening times and will be spending my life there. Wish me luck, it's going to be a long few weeks.

What I've Been Buying #2

Topshop / H&M / Forever 21 / Missguided

So it has just been my birthday which means I have done a fair bit of shopping, spending all the vouchers and money I was generously given, and after the lovely response I got from my first haul I thought I'd share my favourite purchases with you lovelies.

Now it's officially Spring and the hot weather is hopefully nearly upon us, my wardrobe has had a bit of a face lift to keep up with the S/S trends meaning lots of florals, bright colours and eye catching prints. My favourite item has to be this gorgeous short sleeve pastel jumper from Topshop, isn't it adorable?! I feel like confetti when I'm wearing it, and to me that is definitely a good thing. Another item that is getting my extremely excited for the sunshine is the bright pink floral skirt again from Topshop. Putting this on just makes me happy, the perfect length and the perfect colour for day or night.

Now I'm not really one to buy specific 'going out' items, but the red animal print dress had me sold. You can't see from these pictures but it has a gorgeous cut out back, check it out on the Topshop website to see the gorgeous detailing. I'm off on a night out this Friday and this dress is just sitting there waiting to be worn and I can't wait.

My final favourite is this gorgeous crop from H&M. As I've mentioned before at uni we have no H&M...I know it's a complete outrage!! So when I went home for Easter, I literally could not of been more excited to raid H&M. I was not disappointed I came out with a fair few bargains, but this top has to be my favourite. It's the perfect casual top for my 'I can't be bothered but still want to look nice' days around uni. and even better for when the sun comes out teamed with a cute pair of denim shorts. This top just reminds me how much I miss H&M while I'm away. Expect to be seeing the majority of these items in detail, as I'm pretty sure they will be popping up in some recent outfit posts.

I also want to ask one last time if any of you could vote for me in the Company blog awards for 'best personal style newcomer' blog, voting ends on the 10th of April so there's only today left to get those votes in, it would mean so much to me if you could vote and I will love you forever.

Hope you're all well!

Leopard Life

Top - eBay / Trousers & Necklace - H&M / Gilet - Primark / Hat - Topshop / Watch - Marc Jacobs / Shoes - Jeffrey Campbell

I am a huge fan of leopard print, but i must admit I was ever so slightly weary of these trousers at first..I didn't know if they were too Kat Slater, and that's a look I think we all want to avoid. After playing around with them I decided I could get away with them, I love the baggy casualness of them, making them easy to pull off in the day. I think these trousers are best paired with plain tones like white, grey and black so today I opted for my new fave, my celine tee. I finished the outfit off with my leather gilet and bowler hat to give the outfit a bit of a monochrome vibe too, because lets face it, we are all aware just how much I love monochrome by now.

I'm back to uni today, this will be my last ever few months there...its come around so quickly, it makes me ever so slightly emotional thinking about it...the end of an era. I'm about to set off on the four hour drive back to uni..wish me luck and enjoy your sunday!x
